Fearless?

2 Timothy 1:7 AMP
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”
Are you fearless? I’m certainly not me when I’m looking over the edge of a cliff or when I’m at the beach staring down a monstrous wave. Just the thought of this makes me anxious and scared. I know these are obvious examples of external fears that most of us can relate to, but what about our internal fears that aren’t so obvious? You know the ones; the ones that are hidden deep inside us, we don’t know why they are there or where they came from? These are the fears that stunt our growth and cause us to remain mentally, emotionally and spiritually paralyzed. Nothing but lies, lies, lies! They tell us were not good enough and fill us with insecurities that cause us to move with wrong motives. Fear’s sole purpose is to restrict us and create unnecessary limitations causing us to miss the Glory of God that is all around us. We were made to depend on God and without Him and the power that he provides we will continue to stumble and be frozen in fear. It is His truth that will set us free (John 8:32). Were told again in 2 Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom”. This means freedom from ALL things, including fear. By allowing God’s Spirit to work within us we are victorious!  Through Him we can overcome, endure and persevere because it is God who has equipped us. We can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13). When we stand in Him and His Spirit we stand fearless. Live out your fearless life!
