Gift of Grace

1 Corinthians 15:10

But by the [remarkable] grace of God, I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not without effect. In fact, I worked harder than all of the apostles, though it was not I, but the grace of God [His unmerited favor and blessing which was] with me.”

What is the good news? The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that sets the record straight and sets us free! Paul reminds us what the good news is in 1 Corinthians 15:3, “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,   Jesus did for us what we could not, and can not ever do for ourselves. He made a way, by making us right with God! When we come to understand this it will overwhelm us with gratitude, because we know that on our own we are weak, lost, sinful, and broken,  and in this world, we can feel overlooked, worthless, and unloved. Here is the good news of grace; you are made worthy with merit, strength, acceptance, and all the unconditional love you could ever need! Grace is a gift and all you need to know is Jesus! This is the truth that our life is built on. He is the truth and if you know Him, then you know everything! Now that is great news, right? What a gift! Ephesians 2:4-9, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace, you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, …” Amen to that! We are not measured by our success, likability, or even acceptance of others, we are measured by the perfect love of Christ, and through faith we can clearly see that beautiful gift of Grace. God is good and His good plan is that you would have life and have it in abundance (John 10:10). This life was given as a gift and in it we are fully accepted by Him. It is God who chose us to live it out. We are who we are, alive and loved, by the amazing grace of our good God! So, let us celebrate this good news by sharing it with the world. Live out this abundant life!
