The Word, Light & Life
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
- John 1:14
Who do you say Jesus is? The answer to this question is the key to life. Our belief in Jesus through faith brings us eternal life. The more we come to know Jesus’s true identity, the greater our faith will be, and it is through that faith we live here, now, and for eternity.
When we see the true identity of Jesus, we see that life is found in Him. From the very beginning, all things were made in and through Him.
“For by Him, all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him” – Colossians 1:16
We find truth in His identity and that truth sets us free to live now!
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6
“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32
We find light through Jesus because He is light! He shines light in us and around us which leads us through the darkness and the unknown.
“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12
“I have come into the world as light so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.” – John 12:46
We find life in Jesus because He is life! This life is full and abundant and it extends throughout eternity as well as expands in and through our hearts transforming us every day we live out our lives.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
“The thief comes only to steal kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” – John 10:10
Come to know the truth and find the light that leads the way to an abundant and beautiful life! Live it out!
