Trusting God

How can we stop the waves from pushing us down? Why are there times in life where we just can’t catch a break? Are you so overwhelmed you can’t see or hear from God. As a believer, we have faith in God and His provisions, but there are times where we get caught up in life’s difficulties. We become over stressed, under paid, over worked, exhausted and hopeless. How can this be? We know God is always there because His word confirms this, but yet our feelings tell us God is out of the office and won’t be answering prayers this week. Have you ever been in this situation? I know I have! Our God is sovereign, that means He is in control of all things.  At times this can be both comforting and unsettling. We desperately try with all our might to control situations so they fit our expectations and desired plan. If only “blank” would happen I would be comfortable and happy. Unfortunately, this isn’t how it works.

We have to trust God with complete faith that He is sovereign and knows best. I know this is difficult for us to do on our own, but with God everything is possible. For starters, you need to establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Would you trust someone you really didn’t know? what about a friend, someone you spent time with, someone who expressed there love and grace? We are never alone because God is with us, and despite the storms that are surrounding us, God is for us.  God doesn’t want us to be overwhelmed and feel like we are alone, because He knows that is not true. Life can be difficult bringing pain and suffering that can sometime break our will. God has one and only plan for us, that is restoration! His intentions are to rebuild and renew us, giving us peace and right standing in this world. I’m not sure what your struggle is or how long it will last, but I do know you can trust in and rely on our sovereign God. I have experienced His help during many difficult times. Mathew 7:7-8 says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened”. Ask for God’s reassurance, listen for his voice and let him guide you to a place of peace. We won’t escape every difficult time, but with God we can persevere until His blessings pour out. Faithfully believing in God’s word while patiently waiting for His blessings will give you the hope you need to weather difficult times.

I totally agree…and I think that Satan tries to interfere when we love God and love Jesus! I have prayed about things and years later forgot what I prayed about and was reassured when the prayer came to fruition hat God did not forget!😸🙏
