Walk in Love
1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:1-2
According to God’s word Love is defined as more than an emotion. Love is a way of life! In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 love is defined: “4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” We may feel love, but truly, love is much much more than what we feel. We see that God himself is described as Love in 1 John 4:8, “8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” God is love and God loves us, so much so that He gave us His son, Jesus ( John 3:16). We also know from reading scripture that life is found in God and through Jesus we are given eternal life: John 5:26, “26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself .” If we know that God is Love and through belief in Jesus we Live, than Love is within us. But, how can we live a life that is loving? We must go to the source, Jesus! Through our relationship with Jesus, and by following God’s word we will learn, grow and change into the living reflection of Him ( John 15:10 ). Today let us walk in Love for all to see our glorious God!
